Call For Presentations

STEM summit is soliciting presentation applications relevant to our pre-University mission and vision of supporting and encouraging school-aged children to consider a STEM career.

IEEE PreU is inspiring the engineers of tomorrow by mobilizing the global reach of IEEE volunteers to impact as many school-aged children as possible.

The main goal of the STEM Summit is to build our STEM community by coming together to encourage, support and inspire each other. We share and learn from one another on all things STEM. We are excited to invite individuals and organizational units to submit an application to present! All are invited to apply, whether they be a STEM outreach volunteer, educator, parent, etc.

Sessions must be relevant to our pre-university mission and vision of supporting and encouraging school-aged children to consider a STEM career. Session topics can include: STEM pedagogy, best practices in STEM outreach, inspirational talks and resources to empower our STEM community!

General Pitch Video Instructions

Keep in mind that the STEM Summit audience is teachers, STEM enthusiasts, and IEEE volunteers. Make sure your video is engaging for that kind of audience!

You will need to make a plan to complete the pitch in 3 minutes. Remember you are pitching the talk, not yourselves. Be yourself and don’t try to provide too much information by speaking too quickly.

To create your video, you may use the camera app on your phone to record, or use the “Record” feature on a video conference app.

Video resolution should be at least 720p (landscape) with a 30 FPS rate.  Make sure your video has good and clear sound quality.
