Biography
Dr. John Santiago is a retired U.S. Air Force officer, engineering educator, IEEE Life Senior Member, and current IEEE Region 5 Educational Activities Coordinator. He has over 20 years of university teaching experience in electrical engineering, systems engineering, physics, mathematics, and STEM education.
Dr. Santiago leads multiple STEM outreach and mentorship initiatives through the IEEE Pikes Peak Section, integrating hands-on learning, storytelling, multimedia, mentorship, and AI-assisted educational strategies to support scalable pre-university STEM engagement.
His work combines engineering education, IEEE volunteer development, interactive STEM demonstrations, and reusable learning systems designed to inspire future engineers through practical and engaging outreach experiences.
