Biography
Dr. Eleftheria Kallinikou , graduated from the Department of Psychology, School of Social Sciences, University of Crete. During her studies she also attended the English-speaking University Hogeschool Rotterdam Omstreken under a state scholarship. During her stay there she was trained in the Montessori pedagogic system practicing at the model Montessorischool in Delft.
She made postgraduate studies in Social Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry, in the field of Social Medicine and Mental Health, of the School of Medicine of the University of Ioannina. Part of her postgraduate studies was conducted at the Medical School at the Universita degli studi di Bologna, as part of a scholarship, while at the same time she participated in Verona in research at the Sezionedi Psichiatria, Universitadi Verona, WHΟ collaborating center.
She completed her doctoral thesis at the School of Medicine of the University of Ioannina, in the field of evaluating the provision of services in mental health structures using psychometric tools.
Alongside her studies, she participated in the “Pythagoras” research program of the University of Ioannina.
She has a significant participation in research protocols regarding the quality of mental health services, in areas related to the quality of life of chronic patients and the quality of the therapeutic relationship as an indicator of satisfaction with the provision of care.
She was finally trained at the Open Psychotherapeutic Center of Athens in group psychotherapy. She has participated with presentations in numerous Greek and international conferences.
Having gained significant experience in social psychiatry services, since 2002 she has been working with particular sensitivity as a psychologist, providing counseling and psychotherapy to adults and children while coordinating parenting groups and experiential workshops for children.
